The Mind Boggling Hack-Crack Puzzle Cyber Pirates, the most popular event of Aranya 2009, is back...with better challenges and more of the crazy puzzles! The event is a test of logic and application and requires practically no prior expert knowledge. The teams would be competing parallely solving various challenges on the same web server. Prepared to get entangled in the complexities of the web pages and be ready to hack and crack your way out. | ||||||||||||
Participation : 2 Member teamEligibility: All students with a valid identity card of their respective educational institutes and also their Aranya registration cards are eligible to participate. Medium : Any you can think of! 1.The event consists of two phases: The preliminary round and the Final (Main) round. There is also a wildcard online round. 2.The preliminary round will be conducted on paper and will test the teams' analytical and puzzle solving skills. 3.A limited number of teams shall be selected from the Prelims based on their score. This restriction will be made based on the capacity/availability of the labs. 4.Apart from these there will be ten wildcard entries through the online round. 5.In case the capacity of the labs outnumbers the total number of teams registered for the event, then the score of the prelims shall impact the final score. 6.The final round consists of a labyrinth of web pages on the local intranet. Teams are required to crack the various problems based on analytical ability (hacking) and computational skill. 7.Each task achieved and the time taken to achieve it would contribute points to the total score. 8.Any team found using unfair means, damaging the hardware/software in any sort of way shall be disqualified. 9.The organizers can add, modify or remove the above mentioned rules If you have any queries please feel free to contact:
